The good news for today is that from the quarterly earning report in Activision Blizzard we can infer that, Diablo 3 has already become the most anticipated Blizzard game ever. The sales figures are better than expected even without any pre-order figures of the accounts and
Diablo 3 gold giving.
Diablo III pre-sales are expected to lend themselves to a record setting Q2 for the game publisher. And the only words we need to say now are that the Diablo III is set to launch on May 15.
As we can see in the official website of the Blizzard, the first quarter earnings were better than expected, even though the revenue was down by 106 percent, compared with last year's numbers. Moreover, the profit is down, about 86 percent, when you consider last year's net income of the company.
Of course, wildly fluctuating figures are quite common for game studios and publishers though since revenue tends to coincide with game releases.
From this report we can see that the parent company Activision's sales were driven by strong sales of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Activision boasted 40 million active, monthly users for the franchise with over 1.6 billion hours of gameplay logged in MW3 alone.
Despite World of Warcraft's gruesome subscriber blood-letting from last year, it seems Blizzard has managed to cauterize the wound. WoW subscriptions remained flat at roughly 10 million subscribers -- a number that still makes World of Warcraft the single largest MMORPG out there. As a point of reference, BioWare's hotly anticipated Star Wars: The Old Republic hovers around 1.3 million subscribers. That's actually down from 1.7 million from February, but that's another issue for another article.
That’s all for today’s news. From this news you may know how poplar the Diablo 3 is. And what you can sure is that it is quite right for you to choose this game, especially as the good players among all the players if you can hold enough
Diablo 3 gold. Hope you have a nice time and good luck!
